It's like my head

While researching some info on phony Robbie Thomas, I found out that an ABC affiliate station in Indiana has their own private “spiritual medium and remote viewer” on staff for their daily “Indiana’s News Center at Noon Extra.” What a surprise to find out that ABC is now providing these “extra” services to the Northern Indiana community.

Check out Kelli Faulkner. http://incextra.com/noon/index.php She’s listed on the same page as other legit authorities that channel 21 offers including an attorney, a pediatrician, a certified nurse practitioner, a veterinarian, a psychologist and several other experts whose credentials I don’t doubt.  Is having a so-called medium hired to call back the dead from their graves and remote view where missing corpses might be rotting away news worthy journalism? Some people apparently think it is.

After which, Beatrice sells off his estates in Scotland to buy out Cousin Charles and have Wideacre for her and Harry to do with as they see fit – namely, leave it to their children (both respective and mutual), Julia and Richard.

Rape support groups said it was an “insult” that would discourage victims from reporting attacks but those have been falsely accused welcomed the decision as long overdue.

This January, I was surprise to receive an email from Randy Atkins, the Senior Media Relations Officer at the National Academy of Engineering (NAE). Although I had worked briefly last year at the National Academies before joining the Department of Defense in September 2009, I had never met Randy. (I did know his name and voice, however, from listening to NAE Engineering Innovation podcasts.)

Even more surprising was why Randy had contacted me: he wanted ideas for what a Barbie doll would look like if she were a computer engineer!

It turns out that every few years Mattel announces a new career for Barbie, and then in turn releases a new doll fitting of that career. This year, the career was selected by online vote from five possible options: architect, anchorwoman, computer engineer, environmentalist, and surgeon. The vote was targeted toward young girls, but computer engineers and scientists—such as Systers (the world’s largest email community of technical women in computing) and the Society of Women Engineers—organized their own online “get out the vote” effort.
